It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara “Barbie” Ann Brown, on March 25, 2026, at Percy’s Place, after a ten-year battle with heart disease. Born in Middleton, NS, she was the youngest daughter of the late Richard and Gertie MacDonald of Miramichi, NB. Barbie was a member of St. Andrews United Church.

Barbie was raised in Miramichi, NB, after briefly moving around the country as a military family. She later married and raised four children with her first husband, Kenneth Conroy. She worked various jobs including the Miramichi Hospital laundry department, Coffee Time restaurant, Pizza Shack and later as seamstress with Ann Bracken Formals, which was her true calling and she enjoyed every minute. She loved meeting new people, making new friends which was so easy for her as she was such a loving person, anyone who met her loved it. Barbie also enjoyed outdoor activities such as playing sports, swimming, spending time on the boat and fishing with her husband Paul. She loved going to dances and spending time at the camper with family and friends.

In 2001 she married Paul Brown, where they spent the next 25 years of good times travelling, and making loving memories all while becoming a loving step mom to his two children. She loved traveling to new places and meeting new people. She then joined the Miramichi Quilters guild where she enjoyed countless hours of friendship while sewing and making several quilts that she gave with love and pride to her family.

Barbie will be greatly missed by her loving husband: Paul Brown; children...
