Animal Control Officer captures porcupine

Dog Catcher, Tony LeBlanc, uses cage and water hose to capture prickly intruder

A dog unsuccessfully made friends with a baby porcupine in the city and needed to have some quills extracted from his nose. After having the quills removed and a fresh do at the groomers, the dog returned home and headed right for the patio where he encountered the prickly visitor earlier in the day.

Before the dog could get a second porcupine vaccination, the dog's owners called Tony LeBlanc who showed up in less than half an hour to take the situation in hand.

They used a hose to flush out the porcupine from under a deck, and used it again to get the reluctant guy to enter into a live trap. Earlier in the same day LeBlanc had rounded up a troublesome raccoon, and both critters were deposited in a rural area where they could safely resume their lives.
