Toronto Restaurateur inspired by Miramichi Lobster

A few summers ago, two young Miramichiers got married at St. Mikes, and threw a great reception for their friends. Darcy and Jennifer Traer treated their guests to lobster, and one of guests, Matt Dean Pettit, was so inspired by our famous crustacean that he launched a cookbook and three hot new restaurants in Toronto, the Rock Lobster Food Company.

Pettit was impressed, and was inspired to change his life. "I went to Miramichi New Brunswick. Big shout out to Darcy and Jenny Trear for their wedding. I was inspired and decided to bring Lobster to the masses."

Jennifer (Barry) tipped MO))) off to the story. She said Pettit came to their wedding in 2012 and had the "best lobster ever". Pettit appeared on Canada AM yesterday morning, and mentioned the Traers and Miramichi in his first few breaths.
