Roy Allen Asoyuf

Mr. Roy Allen Asoyuf, husband of Eileen (Colepaugh) Asoyuf of King George Highway, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 88.

Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Abraham and Zakia Asoyuf.

He was a retired owner for A & B Grocery Store and a member of Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and drives to Dungarvon.

He enjoyed playing the piano, accordion, harmonica and painting

Besides his wife Eileen, he is survived by his daughters; Sandra Giekie (Late Robert) of Miramichi, Murial Asoyuf of Miramichi, Kathryn Ann Ursic (Peter) of Toronto, Jacki Asoyuf of Miramichi and Zakia Asoyuf of Miramichi, his sons; Abe (Diane) of Miramichi and Eli (Melissa) of Irishtown, NB, 7 grandchildren; Judd and Saul Asoyuf, Bonnie Jean Landry, Stephanie Ursic, Peter Ursic, Macrina Asoyuf and Emmett Asoyuf and two great grandchildren Abigail Landry and Alexa Rae Landry.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Adam Giekie, son-in-law Robert Giekie and 1st wife Susan Veronica "Bonnie" Reid.

Mr. Roy Allen Asoyuf is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with visitation on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 2-4 & 7-9.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11 am at Saint Samuel's Roman Catholic Church with Father John Keoughan officiating.

Burial will be in Saint Samuel's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery later in the spring.

In his memory, donations to Special Olympics, Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
