Pulamoo represent on NB Basketball teams

The Miramichi Pulamoo are well represented this summer on Basketball New Brunswick Provincial teams.

7 members and former members of the Miramichi Hoops Basketball Association have been selected to represent New Brunswick this summer. Jillian Harris was selected for the U16 team, Bailey Black will be competing with the U15's and Drew Blackmore and Kassidy Hamilton will be playing for the U15 Developmental team. On the boy's side Travis Valanne will represent New Brunswick with the U17 boys, Daven Sharpe will be playing with the U16's and Ian Watters will compete on the U15 team.

All seven players will be very busy this summer with teams competing in tournaments in Saint John, Woodstock, Moncton, Boston, New York, Montreal and Edmonton. The U15 and U17 teams will be representing New Brunswick at Canada Basketball Nationals in Edmonton starting on July 24th. All teams have started training in preparation for their busy summer schedules.

Four more members of Miramichi Hoops were selected for the Basketball New Brunswick bantam elite camp which will be held in Fredericton starting on July 6th. For the boys Jake Caissie, Patrick MacDonnell and Kyron Amos have been selected. Kassidy Hamilton was selected for the girls camp. The President of Miramichi Hoops, Paul Barry commented " We are very happy and proud of all of all ten of our athletes that were selected for Provincial teams and camps. They have worked hard to get to where they are at and are proof that basketball is alive and well here in the Miramichi."
