Former MP Tilly O'Neill was the guest speaker at a gathering of Women of God to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday.
For the past 5 years, a group of women have been having a yearly luncheon to promote fellowship with Christian women and to share the Good News of how God is working in the lives of women.
“Each year we choose a different theme and this year was Celebrate Canada 150 with Women of God,” explained organizer Claire Fracker.
Fracker said the event is usually celebrated with using fine China cups and teapots serving small sandwiches and sweets, and every year they have a guest speaker and this year it was former MP Tilley O'Neill.
“Tilley's message to the ladies was so very interesting on how she depended on her faith in her journey of life. It was a very enlightening and encouraging afternoon spent with the ladies from all different faiths,” said Fracker.
O’Neill is pictured with Deanna Baldwin as they cut a special cake that was made for the luncheon.
