Iona Mary (Hallihan) Williston 90, of Bay Du Vin, NB, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday June 27th with her family by her side.

Born in Renous, NB, the daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Manderville) Hallihan.

Iona is survived by her loving children, Rose Mary Brewer of Fredericton, Geraldine Guimond of Moncton, Blair Williston (Juanita) of Hardwicke, Gerald Williston (Sandy) of Bay Du Vin, Francis Williston of Bay Du Vin, Darlene Irvine of Moncton, Bernard Williston (Blondine) of Black River, brother Ivan Hallihan (Leona) of Miramichi, Robert Hallihan of Renous, sister, Elise Bryenton of Millerton sister-in-law’s Pearle Hallihan of Oromocto, Laura Hallihan of Bay Du Vin. Seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren

Iona is predeceased by her husband Charles Goodfellow Williston, brothers Frank , baby Ivan and Leo and grandson Kevin Cormier. Sister-in-law Sylvia and brother-in-law Chester

Iona is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi on Wednesday June 29th, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday June 30th, 2011 at 11am from St Michael’s By The Sea Church in Bay Du Vin, NB with Fr Claude Daigle officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Carlee Carney Memorial Scholarship Fund 1284 Rte 420 Hwy Cassillis NB E9E 2A8 or the memorial of ones Choice Would be appreciated by the family.
