Miramichi Sports: Rivermen Eliminated

The Miramichi Rivermen have been eliminated from the playoffs after a 6-1 loss to the Fredericton Canadiens in the capital last night. Fredericton wins the first to eight point semi-final series 8-3. Fredericton now advances to the league final with the pennant winning Moncton Flyers. This was Miramichi's first season under Head Coach Butch Watters. Under their new coach, the Rivermen posted a 13-18-4 record in the regular season. The Rivermen will host their annual Dinner and Auction in May.
