Miramichi Sports: Chatham Ironmen ready fro Game 3 tonight

MO))) Sports:  Baseball, especially Ironmen Baseball, seems to be a hot topic everywhere you go within our city this summer.  With the Senior men's Canadian Championships being hosted here this year, to our Juniors winning the provincial title, it just seems that this sport has brought us together as a community this summer.  Miramichiers have a long tradition of Baseball, it is in our blood, and I can only assume it always will be for decades to come.  Its just something about this year that seems special, especially with the excitement of this years provincial final series against Fredericton, its a buzz, and I am loving it, so is Sr.Ironmen GM Daryl Matthews.  I had ample opportunity to speak with the Miramichi Sports Wall of Famer about his squad and their secrets for winning this years provincial title against the 3 time consecutive champs, the Fredericton Royals.  " The Key to beating Fredericton is not to beat ourselves, player for player we are a better team, we just have to play our best ball, and not make errors".   "We have gotten tremendous support from the community this summer, and we are very appreciative of every bit of it.  We are expecting over 1,500 people at the game tonight, it will be a packed house".    Matt Jenkins will get the start for the Ironmen, game time is at 7:30pm, its game 3 of a best of 5, series is tied at 1-1.  Weather is looking good, and there is sure to be plenty of "Piping Hot Pizza!"
