Miramichi News: Natural History Museum Getting Ready For "The Big Move"

Miramichi News:  The Miramichi Natural History Museum has been closed to the general public for a few years now, but the passion to keep the museum and it's artifacts alive has been a constant struggle.  As the Miramichi Natural History Association President Shawn O'Reilly will attest to. "We have been through more than our share of struggles in recent years trying to find a new home for the Museum and the artifacts, but the new location will serve our needs just fine". Referring to the Former Mason's Hall located on Wellington Street in the former Town of Chatham.

The building itself , which was built in 1909, is apparently no longer structurally sound and not sufficient to serve the needs of the museum and the public.  The following is a video interview with Shawn, and a unique glimpse into the struggles that lye ahead of him, and his committee.  Enjoy!
