Miramichi News: Take Back The Night Walk A Huge Success

Miramichi News: A community march through the streets of Chatham was held on Wednesday November 2nd called "Take back the night".   It was to raise awareness of the darkness, isolation, silence and invisibility of violence against women and children.  It was well attended by all age groups and was heartwarming just to be part of it!  I would like to thank the commitee and hope your work continues.  Enjoy the video below!

Background:

The first Take Back the Night March began in England in 1877 as a protest against the violence and fear women encountered walking the streets at night. Since then the event has broadened into an annual event marked globally as a protest opposing all forms violence against women. We are now celebrating its 25th annual international march.
