May 22 Traffic Advisory for Chatham Head intersection

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure wishes to advise the public about the beginning of construction o the Chatham Head roundabout next week.

Public Advisory:

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure advises the travelling public that upcoming work at the intersection of Route 8/117 and Route 126 in Miramichi will cause traffic delays.

The project includes grading, paving, signing and lighting, to replace the existing traffic signal-controlled intersection of Route 8/117, and Route 126 with a single-lane roundabout.

The work is expected to begin on May 22nd and is expected to be completed in August. Construction signs will be in place. 

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience.
