Local pilot lives dream in vintage plane

Local Pilot James R Patterson was one of the three pilots who were choosen to take flight in one of the Vintage Aircraft that arrived at the Miramichi Airport last week for the COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots Association) Fly In.  Patterson  took the controls as the Vintage Aircraft “Harvard” toured the skies of Miramichi.

Patterson and Pilot Ulrich Bollinger toured the skies of Miramichi reaching speeds of 135 MPH in this pristine aircraft that is recognized as one of the greatest advanced training aircraft of the war with it’s fighter like size, dating back to it’s first flight in 1935.   Anyone who knows Patterson and his love for aviation knows that when the flight was over he was still soaring in the clouds.

The two day event was a successful weekend.
