New Medical Director for Miramichi Area
(Miramichi) February 6, 2019 – Horizon Health Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Camille Haddad to the position of Medical Director for Horizon’s Miramichi Regional Hospital and surrounding area. Dr. Haddad assumed his new duties February 4, 2019.

As medical director, Dr. Haddad will be responsible for the general and day-to-day medical administration, identifying recruitment needs, participating in recruitment activities, and overseeing medical services for the Miramichi area.

“I am delighted to take on this role as Medical Director since I am passionate believer in Horizon’s commitment to safe and quality patient care in the Miramichi area,” said Dr. Haddad.

Dr. Haddad is currently a general practitioner oncologist at Horizon’s Miramichi Regional Hospital and will continue to see patients in this capacity.

Dr. Haddad graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1990, and began working in the Miramichi in 1992 as family physician. 

Dr. Haddad has held leadership positions such as Chief of Family Medicine 2010-2014, and President of the New Brunswick Medical Society from 2014-2015. Dr. Haddad is on the Miramichi Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He is also the physician at Atlantic Institution since 1992 and the physician lead (Chief of Staff) for Corrections Services for the Atlantic Provinces.
