CASARA Miramichi Zone 2 and the Miramichi Airport were busy this past week hosting 413 Squadron in conducting Search and Rescue training exercises. This exercise involved moving part of 413 squadron From Greenwood Nova Scotia to the Miramichi Airport.
CASARA Miramichi Zone 2 and the Miramichi Airport were busy this past week hosting 413 Squadron in conducting Search and Rescue training exercises. This exercise involved moving part of 413 squadron From Greenwood Nova Scotia to the Miramichi Airport. The exercises were conducted in Conjunction with the Local CASARA Group and included 1 Cessna aircraft, 2 Hercules C-130 Aircraft and 2 Cormorant Rescue Helicopters being all being based out of the Miramichi Airport. Several simulated Search and Rescue exercises took place during the week. Not only were the aircraft and crews stationed here for the week, but this event also included a large group of highly trained men and women that are required to keep these aircraft in top notch condition. These Aircraft must be ready to be called out at a moments notice should the need arise.
