The Friends of Beaubears Island are hosting a Father's Day Barbecue at the Friendly Neighbour Seniors Club (formerly the Little White School, Sutton Road) on Sunday, July 17 from 12 pm - 4 pm. For $10 per person, bring Dad for a barbecue lunch (including salad, baked potato, and beverage) and live entertainment. After lunch, Dads visit the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre (35 St. Patrick's Drive) free of charge.
Entertainment will be provided by the staff of the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre - their talents will be on full display, a preview of what is to come for the summer season on the Island. This annual Father's Day event is a major fundraiser for the Friends of Beaubears Island, a non-profit group whose mission is to promote and preserve the historic integrity of the Miramichi River's jewel, Beaubears Island. There is much more to that little piece of land than meets the eye, and we would love to share with you, the community, the amazing things we see in the Island.
