Artifacts with Aneesh

Did you know that besides a beautiful Interpretive Centre and interactive tours to Beaubears Island and Wilson's Point, the Beaubears Island Interpretive Centre also houses a collection of artifacts? Not many do! That's why this year, a student was hired to access, research, and catalogue the Friends of Beaubears Island's collection.

Aneesh Murali Mohan is a Ph.D. student at the University of Western Ontario, and has come to the Miramichi to work with our collection for 8 weeks. In addition to his bureaucratic duties, we have convinced Aneesh to step outside the box and post a weekly web series, entitled Artifacts with Aneesh.

Check out the first featured artifact below, and make sure to stop by the Interpretive Centre to welcome Aneesh to Miramichi. He is happy to share tonnes of information about all of the items in our collection. Enjoy!
