$100K: Rotary gifts new accessible playground

The Rotary Club of Chatham donated $100K toward an accessible playground that officially opened today

The Rotary Club of Chatham has been busy raising money and donating it to great community causes.  They have donated $15,000 to the Salvation Army, $15,000 to the Food Bank, $50,000 to the Oncology Unit at the hospital, and $100,000 toward an accessible playground at Ritchie Wharf.

The playground was offically opened today and Rotarians were on hand, as well as members of City Council.  The city contributed $35,000 to the project.  The playground features a rubberized, cushion surface.

Here is a short video that features a speech given by Deputy Mayor Brian King, and Rotarian Chris Kidney in which he singles out Rotarian Paula Septon for her hard work on the project.
