Mary Lou Casey - August 20 2015

The death of Mary Lou Casey, wife of the late Neville Casey of Newcastle, NB occurred at her residence on Thursday, August 20th 2015 at the age of 67. Born in Barnaby River, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Dawson) O’Donnell.

Mary Lou was a homemaker and housekeeper for both the Wharf Inn and Country Inn & Suites before retirement.

Mary Lou is survived by one daughter: Alison (James) Mattatall of St. Catharines, ON; one son: Shawn (Kathryn) Casey of Jacksonville, FL; seven sisters: Olive (Fred) Savoy of Miramichi, Donna (Michael) Mills of Barnaby River, Frances (Leo) Doyle of Barnaby River, Phyllis (Bernard) Preston of Schooner Point, Linda (Roy) Gallant of Moncton, Rose (Dean) Coughlan of Barnaby River and Gabrielle (Harvey) O’Hearn of Barnaby River; two brothers: Edward O’Donnell of Barnaby River and Norman O’Donnell of Chatham; five grandchildren: Suzanne, Rebecca and Katherine Mattatall, Nev and Kate Casey. Several nieces and nephews and her companion dog Maggie. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at Tim Hortons and her special cousin Elaine.

Mary Lou is predeceased by her parents; her husband Neville and one brother, Jackie.

Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 22nd 2015 from 7-9 PM and on Sunday from 2-4 PM only. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Barnaby on Monday at 2 PM with Father Dan Bastarache officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Newcastle.

As expression of sympathy, in Mary Lou’s memory donations may be made to the New Brunswick Kidney Foundation.

Please note: All are welcome to a reception at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, following the burial.
