Dianne Peter Paul

The death of Dianne (Sark) Peter Paul, wife of the late Benedict Peter Paul Sr. of Metepenagiag, NB, occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Miramichi Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Oromocto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annabelle (Sacobie) Sark.

Dianne served as a welfare officer at Metepenagiag First Nation for many years, where she was a dedicated protector and advocate for children. She was an avid bingo player, and also enjoyed gardening and pickling. Dianne could often be found gathering fiddleheads, strawberries, blueberries, and other fruits and vegetables to preserve and use throughout the year. She was especially known for her delicious Italian subs.

Dianne is survived by her children: Anna, Vanessa (Wayne), Angela (Eric), Karen, Benedict Jr., David (Kevin), and James (Tracy); her brother Gerald; her grandchildren: Sonya, Samantha, Athena, Annabelle, Emily, Joey, Julianna, Daisy, and James; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her grandson: Jordon and several siblings.
